Anniversary Program Schedule

 Celebration of the Louisiana Native Guards



The National Park Service will commemorated the Louisiana Native Guards "Living History"
on Ship Island April 9th. Ferry boats depart at 9am and 12 noon.


 The event provides a rare opportunity to experience the fort as it might have been during the civil war.  Re-enactors in period
appropriate attire will be stationed at the encampment and around the fort answering visitor questions and providing
information about West Ship Island during the Civil War.
